What is the difference between a hybrid inverter and a regular inverter?

1. What does an inverter do?

An inverter is the brain of your solar panel system. It converts the direct current (DC) that your solar panels produce into alternating current (AC) that your appliances and the grid use. Hybrid inverter: Does the same, but can also control the charging and discharging of a battery.
